This project started out as a fun custom enamel pin set with a map backer card for Griffith Observatory’s gift shop, focusing on the main regional aspects of Los Angeles. It later expanded to other products to complete the lifestyle assortment.
Highlighting some of LA’s iconic features included Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood sign (with an LA twist), Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier and the California Bear. I kept the art as simple vectors with a slight retro, whimsy feel.
[The pin set and observatory tee became top sellers at the gift shop! Two thousand pins sets were ordered at a time and SOLD OUT in three weeks!]
